I want to become a bike mechanic
Post Body
Been working and living with bikes my whole working life and kept being told to avoid sinking fully into the industry because there's no money in it. Finally decided I don't mind as long as I can pay my bills and help other folks keep rubber on the road. Next step though is a bit of a mystery. I'm applying to shops (I know, I know, I'm out of season), hoping to volunteer with Somerville Bike Kitchen to sharpen my skills, and... that's about it. Anyone already in the industry in the area have any advice?
