Yesterday night I saw Buck play in Turin, Italy and I spoke to him after the show.

I congratulated him about his new wonderful album and about the new Big Thief singles.

Talking about BFLY and Vampire Empire I asked him why they chose to publish them as singles and not to include them in the new album.

He replied that they wouldn't fit because they want the next record to be very violent, distorted and screamed. "At least that's the plan", he said, "but maybe we'll end up making a children record".

So I asked him about all the new songs they played live in this last tour and he said they probably are not going to part of the album, that they're going to take 1 year off of touring and they're going to get together quite soon and write completely new material for 6 months. They want to write completely new stuff and record it.

He also confirmed that Adrianne is coming out with a new solo album soon and that, maybe, they're going to put out some music they previously recorded before the new album comes out, in order to kinda fill the void. He didnt say this, but I kinda hope he was referring to the Dragon unreleased songs.

Oh, and that he would like to tour Europe again next year.

So this is it:

1 year of no tour

6 months of writing brand new songs we never heard

1 album that, at least in their plan, is going to sound completely different from what they already done

yes, new Adrianne solo album coming soon

Buck is the sweetest guy on earth and his solo show was awesome.
