I made some on-site changes to my site in mid-December. It appears this initially provided a considerable traffic boost. See the image from Search Console:

But now it appears to me that the impressions in search have been throttled as a result.

The changes I have made were to add more keywords, paragraph text as well as improve title tags and meta descriptions. The main increase I was expecting was from impression clicks, from adding lots long tail keywords.

In mid-January you will see a cross-over of CTR and impressions. CTR is up 2%, over 2-3 months ago, but 100,000s of impressions have disappeared.

Anyone had similar experiences? Any insights?
