Like I wrote before, this isn't a sexy story, although it does have some sexiness to it, but it's a sort of chronicle on how Melanie and I got into the lifestyle. I read where people that were interested in the lifestyle talked it over with their partner and spent weeks or months or years deciding. For us it wasn't overnight but through the years as a natural progression where circumstances and our desires took us.

At this time we were into the lifestyle for about 10 years, sort of. Like many young couples we thought we'd jump into the lifestyle and have fun 24/7. But by this time we learned to be more relaxed and not rush things. We met very nice couples and a few singles but only partied every few months. We do live in a beachy tourist area and we'd meet visitors at times. It was fun but we never met any of these visitors a second time. I do think we were growing up. No more wild 20somethings we were both in our late 30s. We were now getting to be middle aged. Little did Melanie and I knew that middle aged could be so much fun.

It started with Melanie and her co-workers. Melanie was a nurse and became good friends with many other nurses and staff at the hospital. Her schedule was usually 10 hour shifts Sunday to Wednesday. Wasn't always that but you get the idea. Many times Melanie and her co-workers would put on bikinis and hit the beach bars especially on Thursdays. Over the years I met her co-workers on occasion but at this time I didn't know them well.

As time went on Melanie and her co-workers were hitting the beach bars and sometimes clubs for girls nights. (I didn't mind girls nights because Melanie always came home buzzed and basically used my body as a sex toy.) There were two nurses that always were with Melanie on these nights, Kathy and Brooke. There were others but Melanie got along the best with those two and they didn't even work with her directly. And as women do they started to gossip and share personal stuff during their times together.

Melanie mentioned to Kathy and Brooke that now that we're older, the same clubs that we went to in our 20s didn't appeal to us. Kathy and Brooke were in their mid 40s and told Melanie of a cozy place not far outside the city called Maggie's. Supposedly a cool place where an older crowd got together and had a good time. They were going there this Friday and invited the both of us to join them. Melanie accepted and of course I said yes because I'm married. Also I was curious. I had driven by Maggie's a bunch because I pass by it on my way to a couple of subdivisions I was working at. Looked like a small neighborhood bar.

That Friday night Melanie wore a short black skirt and red blouse. Her raven hair cascading down that red top just drove me wild. I know they say blondes have more fun but I think brunettes have wicked fun. It was summer so I wore khaki shorts and a black button down shirt. Then again I'm a guy and nobody cares what we wear as long as it doesn't embarrass the wife. LOL!

We walked into Maggie's around 9PM and the place looked like a nice neighborhood bar. It had a long bar on the left and tables and chairs on the right. Toward the back was a small dance floor with a DJ and beyond that was the kitchen. Reminded me of Cheers. But as I started to look around I realized this was not Cheers. There were a bunch of middle aged people partying their asses off as if they didn't have a care. One woman was dancing on the bar and took her top off for a minute because it was her birthday. By the dance floor were about 5 or 6 of Melanie's co-workers and their spouses dancing and drinking. Melanie told me that a couple of them were big wigs in the hospital administration. Kathy and Brooke introduced us to their spouses. Then we were introduced to everybody else. Melanie knew the people who worked at the hospital so it was easy for her to keep their names straight.

I didn't have to spend a dime. The gang kept buying us drinks. Melanie was dancing with the other ladies in a sexy way and then dragged me onto the floor. I cannot dance worth a damn but I was buzzed and she looked hot. Then Kathy and Brooke cut in and started dancing with me while their husbands kept Melanie occupied. The gang was mostly 40s to 50s and were laughing, drinking, dancing and having sexy fun. If I knew middle aged was like this I would have gotten older sooner. LOL!

At midnight "the gang" began to filter out the door. They all asked us to come back the next Friday but to get there a little before 8PM and we said yes. For the next 6 or 7 Fridays we partied with "the gang" at Maggie's. Melanie still had her beach days with the ladies but now a couple of the husbands, Nick and Jerry, started to meet me at the gym. They actually have been members but used to train late afternoons while I went early mornings. They just showed up one morning and joined me. They were in good shape. It's annoying when somebody who isn't as advanced is giving me pointers but they're both good guys.

Then it was Melanie's birthday week and that Friday we went to Maggie's. There were a total of 8 of us and it was on. It's kind of a tradition at Maggie's that on a woman's birthday she dances topless on the bar. Melanie believes in tradition and she danced for a couple minutes and had a huge round of applause. But something was different and at the time I couldn't put my finger on it. We were all drinking, dancing and having a good time but the others kept glancing at Melanie and me and smiled and giggled between themselves.

I excused myself to go to the men's room. Nick followed close behind and locked the door. To make a long story short, Nick told me that during the months the women went to the beach they'd tell secrets and Melanie had told the wives that we were in the lifestyle and both of us were bisexual. (A few margaritas and Melanie would give up our bank accounts.) Nick also told me that the reason they leave before midnight is to go one of their houses to party. And they only party with committed couples and both must be bisexual. The past couple months we were auditioning and the gang unanimously approved.

Nick walked out and I followed. I must have looked a bit pale because Melanie ran over to me, grabbed my hand and led me out the front door. She kept on apologizing but I told her it was OK. We had a feeling the gang were swingers but except for a lot overt flirting there was nothing concrete. Even people not in the gang used to flirt with us. Maggie the owner (yes, there is a real MILF named Maggie) would cup my ass and loved feeling my chest. The others started to come out and they all asked us to go to "the house." Kathy wrote down the address and handed it to Melanie.

Before I continue I need to explain why there was an "audition." Apparently at another hospital in another state, a number of the staff got together for swinger parties. Most all of the participants were married and none of them brought their spouses. A disgruntled husband blew the whistle and many of the participants were fired including high ranking administrators, doctors and head nurses. In addition, there was a fictional reddit post which ended up on YouTube about this. I have seen the YouTube video but I can't find it now. To protect themselves they only party with committed couples, preferably married. The bisexual part is because the men and the ladies love bisexuality.
