I doubt it is a coincidence that we haven't seen Jane meet him yet- and probably wont- until the episode of the murder.

Here is my reasoning:

He physically looks like the "duck" (rapist)

He quacks like the duck- sweet one moment and the next, turns into a sexually violent monster.

Another reason I believe this is that the timing for when Perry and Celeste were struggling to conceive would have been around the same time Jane got pregnant.. and we all know how Perry gets when he is frustrated.

So at least to me, he seems to fit the bill. do not excuse my terrible purposeful pun.
