Just putting this out there: People comment about how Bigfoot doesn't tend to show up on trail cams. I came across this story about researchers trying to capture images of an endangered rat. They knew the rats existed, they knew where they were, it wasn't a big area, it was on an island ... and it still took nearly a year to get anything.
So, camera traps aren't the catch-all some people seem to think, I guess. (Full disclosure, I have never used a camera trap and probably never will.) And, yes, they had a dead rat to go by, and they ended up getting photos of four different rats, but still.
