Hi, I’ve been lurking here from time to time on this sub and had a question. For some context, I’ve gotten back into working out recently 3x a week and have been going a lot harder and taking it more serious than I used to. I came across people mentioning L-Citrulline as a great pre-workout supplement for exercise performance, health and improving blood flow. But I was intrigued about the possible erection benefits from the overall improved blood flow.
I’ve read a lot of positive experiences from people using anywhere from 2-6g of L-Citrulline daily. But, is there any negative effects? I have seen a very small handful of other comments say that they had some sort of reverse effect making it difficult to stay hard while they’re taking it? I definitely don’t want to spread any fear or doubt for those taking it or are considering taking it since this is a genuine question I have. I’m a bit of a hypochondriac but I wonder if this is something that affects a small set of people, or if it’s just people who have other issues going on? Really wanted to hear what others here had to say on it.
Some other info, I’m 23, 6’1 and 130lbs so quite skinny. I eat well most of the time and do mostly weightlifting but hardly any cardio at all. I don’t believe I have any blood flow/blood pressure issues either. (Though no doubt doing more cardio will help with that)
For those who may say to ask a doctor, I already have a message typed out ready to send to mine. I just wanted to get the opinions and personal experiences of those here about it. Any opinions and insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
