I know for most of the population it wouldnāt be a problem, but if youāre on the long side IUDs are a nightmare.
I get there are plenty of reasons a woman might get one, but the pain it causes for deep penetration is not fun. That being said, there are work arounds - Not going nearly as deep being the main one, but that isnāt exactly ideal.
The biggest issue I have is when a woman doesnāt tell me about it. It can end up being a nasty surprise. Obviously I could just ask any woman I meet if they have one, but itās a really odd question, and most of the time sex is pretty spontaneous and not pre-planned.
This can cause minor and major issues. Getting the equivalent of a bee sting on the end of your dick is a real mood killer. Iāve had condoms get punctured though, which is a bigger issue. I know the IUD is contraception, but it must increase the risk for STDs, let alone just standard infections.
I feel like this is not being advertised enough as a side effect of IUDs. Iām sure most women that get them donāt expect it to have all these negatives attached. Then again, if a guy isnāt getting that deep, itās not even an issue. As always a lot of it can be avoided with good communication, being in a committed relationship, being responsible, etcā¦ but Iām sure weāve all been there in the heat of the moment, hookups and one nighters.
