People expect your life to be way cooler than reality when you have a BD

Whenever people find out that I have a BD they always say stuff like “You must get all the girls” “Getting laid must be easy for you”

Guys wanna b you girls wanna be with you type stuff. It got to the point that I was hearing that so much that that started to become my expectations and I felt odd or broken when reality didn’t pan out that way.

The truth of the matter is that nobody really cares that you have a BD, they won’t treat you different, it only becomes a semi salient thing after a relationship is already established and it’s always framed as more of a bonus than a necessity. I feel like over investing ourselves in the idea that we have a BD and that’s enough to get chicks is fundamentally counterproductive to our penultimate goals.

Yeah I get this a lot. It’s kinda annoying that they think that. I mean I’m an average nerdy guy for crying out loud 🤣
