Buy online or shopping in store?
Post Body

Ok. Just found this sub and probably will have several questions coming up. This is my first. I'm 29 and just now the last couple years getting concerned with how I look. I'm 6'2" and was down to 220 after having been around 330 for a long time. In the last 6-8 months I'm at around 280lbs again. All of the clothes I did have are now too tight but couldn't afford an entirely new wardrobe until now. I went out today to Ross and Burlington Coat factory, ended up buying $100 in clothes that are too big. Either the size down in jeans were still too tight around the thighs or the size down in shirts were too tight around the waist. For the jeans they fit comfortable in the seat and don't fall down with a belt but are super baggy in the legs. For the shirts they fit well around the waist but the shoulders are off. Needless to say I need to return both tomorrow.

Honestly I hate shopping in stores, due to the sheer amount of clothes I have to try on to find something. In the end I come out with something I soon after hate and just bought it as an obligation for all the work I did. (I know. Great logic right?!)

Tldr; Do you find it easier to find clothes that fit well, along with a lot less stress, when buying clothes online compared to buying in-store?

What big and tall retail places are best for casual & slightly more formal? What online stores are good as well?

So far I've tried Walmart, Target, Tj Max, Burlington Coat factory, and Ross. I can fit into a 38' × 32' pair of pants but the ones at almost all retail stores I've been to, the seat area is tight. Going a size up and their too baggy. I'm a driver for work and am sitting for long periods. This constriction messes with my legs pretty bad. I already have nerve damage in my left leg from it.

Sorry that was longer than I wanted it to be.
