Hello dear cyclists, as the title says it all – my hipster ass is thinking about buying a reconditioned vintage road bike. Specifically I'm looking at a Giant Peloton Superlite.
The usecase is mostly riding around the city, but also some moderate bike touring (think ~100 km/day for max 5 days with very light luggage).
What kind of things I should look out for before buying it? I know to check for the obvious – no rust on the chain, functioning gear shifters, etc. What else should I keep in mind to make sure that the bike will be able to cope with what I need it to do?
Thanks!
