Cycling round the world. What bike?

Hey I'm 19 at the end of this academic year, instead of going to uni I plan to take a gap year and cycle as far as I can. preferably round the world.
I'm a roadie exclusively and only ride road bikes. However I'm not sure this would be the best option to ride round the world.
What would /r/Bicycletouring recommend?
