Sprocket shifting problem
Post Body

I ride my bicycle almost daily (yes even in the winter if it's raining). I have an old 10-12 speed bike from the 70s or 80s with analog shifters. The right side shifter (controls the sprocket gears) has a bit of a problem. Whenever I shift to a lower gear (uphill climbs), the shifter moves itself back to its normal resting position. It can only stay in a lower gear if I use one hand to hold the shifter to the position I want it at. I have also lost the ability to get to the lowest 2-3 gears.

Does anyone know a good YouTube video that can explain what is happening (as well as how to fix it)?
