Is 8 Months Maternity Leave Sufficient?

Post Body

Hi all, I've been working for a new company for a year now, and I'm looking towards the future--potentially becoming pregnant by mid-to-late 2023--and my current company offers 8 months of maternity leave, during which time they can't eliminate your role. I've surveyed members of my personal community, but I trust this groupso much, so I want to ask the thoughts of this circle of amazing people--how much matleave did you have, and was it sufficient? I wonder if 8 months will be enough, but I'm hopeful. Any tips on how to optimize your matleave? Thank you!

Edit: Iā€™m 31 years old.
