A little rant here. Iāve heard people saying āfor the first few weeks/months babies are just eating and sleepingā, well I wish they were. My LO eats, but then itās a struggle to get her to sleep. I know there are routines but itās not easy. It seems she struggles to digest the milk (time to switch formula?), so even if she closes her eyes for the first 30 mins sheās making noises and moving and sometimes she wakes herself up or it bothers her a lot.
Now sometimes that she wakes up, she needs a diaper change, and then sometimes she just decides she wants to eat again. Today she did this for two hours in one occasion that really overwhelmed me.
I love her and I donāt mind holding her for some time until her stomach is happy and sheās deep asleep. But I just thought how simplistic that sentence is, infants are not just eating and sleeping.
