Little girl is 13 months old and just got three stitches. She tripped over her toy and went face first into the entertainment center. She split her bottom lip right where the lip meets the skin. The doctors called it the junction of her lip. They said it will leave a scar. I don't think it'll be noticeable because of where it's at. She's a trooper. I just felt so bad for her. It didn't seem like she was in any pain after the initial fall. She doesn't even realize this was a big deal. I feel guilty that I didn't put the cushion/edge covers on the edge of the entertainment center. If I had she probably wouldn't have needed stitches. They're up now... just too late. She's the first grandchild on both sides to have an injury requiring an ER visit. She has 5 cousins, the oldest 6 years old, and she was the first one. I keep telling myself, she's okay. Kids hurt themselves. I've prepared myself for this day, I just didn't know it would come so soon.
