Those of you with PPD-- can you explain what it feels like? When did it first hit you?

I have pretty gnarly normal depression, so my care team put me on an antidepressent (bupropion 150mg) the first day after I had baby to try to immediately get on top of the PPD we all assumed would hit me like a truck.

I'm 2 weeks postpartum which isn't long enough of being on this medication for it to really start doing anything yet, and I'm also on the lowest possible dose.

To my surprise and the surprise of my care team I feel... pretty alright, actually. Not quite normal yet, but getting there. I don't know if the PPD we expected just hasnt set in yet, if im so depressed normally that I can't tell if I have a new flavor of depression, if I'm getting reallyyyyy lucky, or if the meds are kicking in earlier than expected.

Can you tell me what PPD feels like? And when you started to identify symptoms of it?

I don't mean for this post to be insensitive in any way, I just want to try to make sure I'm monitoring myself correctly. 🥺
