It won't actually happen but I'd enjoy this...
Kim's written confession changes the dynamic of the Saul "manhunt". He is seen less as the "ringleader" and more of a cartel pawn that was forced into his situation and intimidated by Walter/Mike to maintain involvement. Of course, this may not ring true for the viewers that know the whole story, but for the purpose of law enforcement, it may add new context to the proceedings.
Gene tries to vacuum himself unsuccessfully after fleeing Marion, then decides to face the music and turn himself in. He goes to jail but his sentence is not the worst (10 years max) and a bulk of the finale shows his progression as a prisoner -- being stripped down to his lowest and building himself back up as a real person over time instead of a tacky caricature. He makes friends and eventually becomes respected by the inmates and runs his own version of the "Magic Man" circus tent as they all line up to hear Jimmy's legal advice and insight. His "spunk" slowly comes back.
A few years into his sentence, Kim comes to visit on his birthday. Its the first time they've talked since the phone call in Waterworks. They make peace with each other and Jimmy apologizes for how he acted in the wake of their breakup with his newfound perspective after years of reflection. We see that Kim is still damaged, but nowhere near how we saw her in the last ep where she was unwilling to make any type of decision whatsoever.
The show ends with Jimmy convincing Kim to "join forces" one more time. Together, they use Jimmy's cut of the Sandpiper money (or diamonds?) to set up a scholarship program in the same vein as HHM's program we saw in "Winner". Each year Kim visits Jimmy in jail on his birthday where they review all the candidates, choose the recipients, etc. This eventually blossoms into some type of PPD program/firm where Kim acts as an advisor and hires old faces like Kristy Esposito or Viola and Ernie. This Wexler/McGill project becomes the culmination of their past dreams to "use their powers for good" and Jimmy's desires to "help out the little guy", and restores purpose and meaning for both Jimmy and Kim, though they both recognize they can't be romantic partners.
The last scene is set way in the future a few years after Jimmy has been released from prison. We see on Jimmy's birthday that they still have their annual Wexler/McGill meeting and their scholarship/PPD program is still thriving. We leave the characters as they play a round of golf; the implication is that they use these yearly meetings for Kim to teach Jimmy golf like he wanted her to do when they were lawyers together and Jimmy was insecure that he didn't know how to play. They drive in their golf cart out of frame down a long winding road, symbolizing them finally getting off the bad choice road and staying on the good choice road from here on out.
Sappy and unrealistic, but a guy can dream, right?
