Question about feeding

Post Body

Hi everyone!

I have a smallish crowntail betta and a snail in a 5 gal. filtered & heated aquarium. My question, is how to make sure both get adequately fed without over feeding.

I've read so many different opinions on the amount of food to give my betta. I use the pellets and have been going off the rule that his stomach is the size of his eye, so I've been giving him one pellet a day. I've also been sprinkling in a tiny amount of flakes for the snail

The flakes are ground pretty small and my betta doesn't seem to notice them before the filter pushes them down. Then, the snail senses them and starts to move and crawl all over the rocks & gravel.

I've been testing H2O every few days and all levels seem good.

Any advise? Thanks everyone!
