This post has been de-listed
It is no longer included in search results and normal feeds (front page, hot posts, subreddit posts, etc). It remains visible only via the author's post history.
I've always been surprised there isn't a way to do this.
Perhaps the lack of such a feature is intentional? That is, to sort of "level the playing field" for posters and that the unintended effects from such a feature are greater than I realize?
But basically, some subreddits I subscribe I would like to filter out posts, or at least push down (or up) their display rank on my front page based on conditions set by user.
Some examples:
- only show (or prioritize) posts from r/MapPorn that have 500 upvotes.
- prioritize posts from r/EconHW or /r/AskEconomics that have <2 comments.
- show/prioritize posts from r/Worldnews that have >5000 votes unless the post is >6 hours old.
- hide posts from r/AskReddit with >1000 comments and post is >12 hours old.
- hide posts from all subreddits with titles containing the word "Republican" or "Democrat" or "Pancakes"
any thoughts on this? I wasn't sure if I should post this here or /r/ideasfortheadmins since I'm not sure how productive that sub is.
