ive got nothing to watch these days and im sooo bored. My least favourite genre are super hero/ action, or teen dramas, i also hate romance unless theres a good plot like outlander that was a good show.
I love historical shows, survival (loved twd) sci fi, horror, magical stuff, and basically anything as long as the plot is good and its not just everyday life boring stuff, not a fan of sitcoms or tv reality.
Wentworth
Surprised to see this so far down the list!
Also loved The Haunting of Bly Manor, and liked The Haunting of Hill House.
I appreciate the reply! And I definitely don't mind a slow burn; I often tend to prefer it.
Your point about character development vs. sci-fi elements is helpful. I tend to prefer the former being subservient to the latter, and I often feel unseen when filmmakers take the converse approach. I think I would have gotten more out of Dark if I'd known that going into it.
I tend to already think in terms of parallel realities, seeing time as potentially cyclical-by-nature or potentially a construct (such that all time is actually and eternally now), so such elements in the show just didn't stretch me. And I wanted to be stretched.
Midnight Mass is my second-favorite of Flanagan's series. Bly Manor is my favorite (although I know most people seem to consider Hill House #1, though for me it's #4).

I'm curious (with spoiler tags) what you found to be fucked up.
I watched the whole thing and it was okay. Middle-of-the-road, I'd say, as science fiction goes.
