My fiance is considering a job transfer from her company to Bermuda (she's an actuary). I'm an attorney licensed only in an American state. I've done the preliminary research on the bar website (I'd have to wait a year to take the bar there, but can practice under the tutelage of a Bermudian attorney), and I understand the first pick rule and work permit rules. What I'm wondering is the likelihood of being able to find legal work considering I'm not licensed in a commonwealth country. I'm only out of law school two years and have been a law clerk for trial court judges. I am extremely interested in insurance law and this seems like a great place for that. Any other attorneys here or anyone know a good recruiter who could walk me through the steps etc?
