Need some insight on sleep. How long was it broken?
Post Body

Hi folks hope everyone is doing ok.

It's been about 6 weeks since I made a rather significant drop to 5mg Diazepam after 3 long years of Klonopin and Xanax, usually 2mg P/day sometimes 3. The first 2 weeks were hell with very little sleep. Things started to improve, but then my appetite came back and I think snacking before bed has been affecting me a bit. Also watching movies but I don't care because it's my primary source of distraction. So now I'm getting some sleep, but it's quite broken up and very light. I'm grateful I'm not just tossing and turning wide awake all night, but very few nights actually feel like restorative sleep.

I'm just wondering if people could describe their experiences with the process of getting their sleep back. Did you experience what I did with your sleep getting lighter and broken up? How long did it take before things started to improve? My mother has pretty severe sleeping issues so I'm always a little paranoid that it won't come back. Would love to hear otherwise.

Thanks everyone. Again, hope you're all managing OK. I'd love to see some more faces at the Zoom Support Meetings we hold! Every Thursday at 3PM ESt - just as a reminder ;)
