So most of my symptoms have eased now, more better days than not. Mine was a strange one because I was a very bad alcoholic for many years and had many withdrawals. I stopped drinking in September and then for some idiotic reason I took xanax and diazapam for a month and was hit with a terrible withdrawal. I've been told that the prior alchoholic withdrawal may have added to this quite a bit. Benzo flu for two weeks, tinnitus in my left ear (still there kinda), random body pains and head pressure. All classic withdrawal symptoms and all eased but my heart feels as if its beating quite hard sometimes, especially when im sitting or lying down. When im occupied it ain't there but when im silent or still there it is, thump thump thump. Never had this before I took benzos, and heart palpitations are a symptom im told and read. Does anyone else have this or had chest area problems or palpitations at all? I've been to the doctor my blood pressure is actually down from 135-130/90 range to 122/84 now and I hope with my continued diet and exercise that'll go further down. Normal EKG and waiting for a 24 test. Read some benzo buddies posts and some seem to have the thumping heart thing as well. Am I going nuts about this and making it worse? I do feel anxious as hell about it so im a little overwhelmed. Can anyone relate? Cheers for reading
