Normal under my circumstances?
Post Body

Hey guys, im going to start this off by saying im a recovering alcoholic (my last withdrawal was four months ago, that's me done with the stuff for life) and I've had a few withdrawals in my day but this is my first benzo one rest were all alcohol, this will be important for a few questions later. So I (stupidly) used xanax and diazapam over the Christmas period for around 25 consecutive days, this will be my third week off them. Now, the day after I stopped taking them I had the craziest anxiety I've ever felt, I couldn't leave my room and in the coming days after I developed flu-like body aches and a general 'I feel like shit' feeling alongside extreme anxiety and various other symptoms like occasional diarrhea/stomach upset. These symptoms peaked around the middle of the two week mark and slowly subsided a little only to leave me now with stomach aches, muscle pains and body aches. These aren't as bad as they were during the peak and some days they don't even seem to be there, its like waves. Now my questions are firstly, is this normal? (im a really anxious person as you can probably tell) and with my history of alcohol abuse does this make my body more suspect to worse withdrawal symptoms than usual? Im reading this may be the case but id like to hear some input from people with actual experience rather than Internet pages. Cheers for reading.
