Xanax: Makes Me Literally Exhausted

I have been taking Xanax for my anxiety, but only half of one each morning. The only issue is they make me exhausted to the point of passing out in every class. Even my beloved music theory classes were not spared in the roaring hibernation that was my day, I snored through most of it. Any advice?
