Well to start I’ve been on klonopin for the past 6 years due to horrible anxiety, but around the beginning of 2023 I completely quit cold turkey just because I didn’t like the idea of myself always having to be on a pill to function. It might sound corny to some but I started going to the gym and became more active and for a bit my anxiety was definitely more manageable.. I’d have a panic attack here and there but it wasn’t how it was before.

Fast forward to about 6 months ago I ended up going back to my Dr because my panic attacks have just gotten to be unbearable and they happen in the worst fucking places. Not to mention the general anxiety, overthinking and all the shit that comes with it was way worse too. He ended up putting me back on my adderall (because I was taking that as well as the klonopin) and although this definitely helped me tremendously and it got me just that much further through the day without having anxiety I was fine with it. I had a med review with him yesterday and I was telling him about these panic attacks I keep having at work or in my car or whatever I am and he suggested xanax.

I’m just so fucking glad I have something that I can take in a time of panic and actually feel better. I’ve felt so shitty the past month or two there’s absolutely no other way in hell I’d be able to feel better. Also I was thinking that I’d only be taking them when I have my panic attacks as well, after being on klonopin for 6 years and with how quick you can build up a tolerance I’ve realized that shit really sucks.. Not only that but getting off of it is 10x worse especially at higher doses.
