Post Body

Flumazenil is used to help wake up patients after surgery or medical procedures that used benzodiazepines as a sedative. Flumazenil is a benzodiazepine antagonist that reverses the sedative and hypnotic effects of these drugs.

Now I think I know why I had severe nausea after Carpal Tunnel Surgery. Because here’s the list of side effects:

Common side effects of Flumazenil include:

  • headache

  • dizziness

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • increased sweating

  • flushing (sudden warmth, redness, or tingly feeling), vision problems

  • pain at the injection site
