Most people I've talked to on here tell me there is basically no difference between the two, except for duration, half-life etc, but i feel there is more of a difference than that, at least IMO.

For instance, valium has left me fucking sad, depressed and with feelings of emptiness after using. Xanax never really did that to me. I felt fine, great actaully, like I got some sort of afterglow the day after using.

I also feel like I'm more concious on higher doses of Valium. I used to black out after around 3-5 or more mg´s of Xanax mixed with 3-5 beers. I could seriously not think, and I did stupid shit.

On a dose such as 50mg Valium, mixed with three beers, I feel just fine. Def feeling the fact that I am tipsy/high, but I can control myself to a certain level, and I can remember shit. I won't black out from this.

People before, have said that this is due to the fact that 10mg of Valium equals to only .5mgs of Xanax, instead of 1mg. I always thought 10mgs Valium equalled to 1mg Xanax.

If i have actaully been wrong, I'd have to take like a whole gram of Valium to feel the same way I used to. But that seems intense as fuck, and dangerous. I just don't want to end up making any stupid/reckless mistakes here.

Does anyone have tips or advice they'd like to share with me, so I can go about this in a somewhat safe way?
