I was taking Clonozepam for about 8 months last year and successfully kicked it last December and transitioned to higher doses of Mirtazapine and Amitriptyline. Recently, I kicked off Mirtazapine by cross-tapering to Amitriptyline. My SOS medication was BetacapTR-40.
Ever since I have stopped taking Mirtazapine, some times I feel anxious due to circumstances but I am able to control it by applying CBT and also by slowing myself down in whatever I am doing**. Today I mentioned the same to my shrink and asked her if I can get a better SOS medication. She prescribed mouth dissolving clono. I am not thrilled about this because I do not want to develop tolerance to benzos but I can vouch for clono's calming effect.
How has your experience in using mouth dissolving clono been?
** This deliberate act of slowing down whatever I am doing has been super helpful! Learnt it off Instagram
