First, I'm talking about in the UK.
Ideally clonazepam. I pretty much leave my room once every couple days and only have meals (so just dinner pretty much) at like 2-4am when my flatmates are asleep cause I just can't face them. I can't take antidepressants because I have hppd and they'll just make the disorder worse. Already been through therapy once though I suppose a different type could be more effective; 12 weeks of cbt did absolutely nothing to me. I've missed like 3 months of university cause of being to anxious to go. I've been relying on other drugs like kratom several times a day, but my tolerance is so high now it's pretty ineffective. I take phenibut occasionally to help too but that wrecks my stomach and isn't a longterm solution.
So I know benzos are highly addictive of course, but I'm not really sure what other meds are open. Only thing left I can try is either lamotrigine or keppra, but neither of those actually treat anxiety. I'm going to be getting my own supply soon regardless, so I'm gonna see how that goes. Benzo wd is meant to make my disorder worse, but there's a study which found a 3 month clonazepam routine resulted in longterm benefits of improving hppd upon cessation of use (presumably with tapering).
Edit: I also don't get panic attacks very often, but that might be because I literally NEVER put myself in a situation where I can be. It's still extremely debilitating.
