Benzos don’t help my tormenting thoughts anymore?

Whenever i used to pop pills (Alprazolam back in the day), they made me feel absolutely euphoric. I felt fucking great on them, and i found it helped with whatever thoughts or feelings would torment me.

I’m now trying out Valium, which doesn’t seem to take these thoughts away. It relaxes me, makes me all creative and shit but the thoughts and feelings are still there, buggin me. I took 30mg’s last night before bed, and I couldn’t stop overthinking, which felt weird cause i expected the Valium to shut my brain off. Wass goin awn?
