Post Body

Hi all, as of 10am this morning I'm 48 hours without taking Xanax (but who's counting?) I wanted to ask how long it would take to fully be out of my system. I've read 3 days and I've read 5 days. I've been taking 0.25mg every day for about 9 months. I'm not sure if it builds up in your system at that low a dose. Some days I took slightly higher, but most days it was that dose. So I pretty much always went 24 hours in between and never had any WD, so reaching 48 hours doesn't seem like that much but I kept taking it out of fear of WD symptoms so I'm still proud I've gone this long without :P

Also, do some people just not develop dependency? My whole life, I have notoriously been a quick drunk. I get drunk on 2 glasses of wine and get sick on 3, I just don't handle alcohol very well. A few years ago, I went through such bad anxiety that I drank every day to get through it, and even after a year of drinking alcohol every day, I still got drunk on 2 glasses and was never able to drink more. I just never built up a tolerance. I ended up quitting from one day to the next with no issues.

I do notice that the Xanax works less strong for me after daily use for 9 months, but I don't feel like I need it. I just kept taking it after reading horror stories on Reddit. I just wonder if it's possible I didn't build a dependency after that long and I won't have too many issues getting off. I'd like to go back to once or twice a week when I truly need it rather than every day.
