Only seeking real life experiences.

First off, I don't drink often anymore, usually only drink on certain occasions and even then its 4 drinks tops. Not in to getting hammered anymore, I don't even remember the last time I did.

My anxiety has been through the roof lately, doctor prescribed me .5mg of Ativan to take in the morning and before bed. Ativan has been working great, it doesn't take away my anxiety completely but it definitely takes the edge off and makes it much easier to handle.

The doctor asked if I was addicted to alcohol or drugs before prescribing it to me, which I am not.

I read a lot of bad news about mixing the two online, from the information I gathered, it can cause ativan side effects to be more intense, more drowsy and impaired.

It also sounds like a lot of people enjoy the combo of the two and tend to abuse it which then can lead to extreme cases such as death.

I'm just curious of what would happen if you had one drink? I am attending a friend's bday dinner tomorrow and wouldn't mind having A cocktail, one maybe two at the most. We are going as a group and I won't be driving.

Has anyone ever had a few drinks on it, what was your experience?

Please no judgement!

I also must mention I am not on any other medications.
