2mg Clonazepam once a week instead of alcohol, safe?

I want to avoid addiction and rebound anxiety, clonazepam has such a long half-life though so I felt like it lasted for almost two days. Is it not better to take a shorter acting benzo once a week so it leaves my system quicker? I do feel like the Xanax high is much more sleepy though. Might reduce to 1mg instead of 2mg but I want to kinda feel a bit drunk
