I make music, and have experienced benzos (bromazolam and alprazolam) being extremely helpful for this. For music (or any art in general, you probably know if you do it) it can be hard to create something because when you're first starting a project, it will most likely be shitty, which will be discouraging: you need to have the discipline to sculpt it into something good. But on benzos, I don't feel bored/discouraged at all if something sounds shitty; I'm in a trance state and naturally tinker until everything sounds good. And even when sober, I'm genuinely impressed by the work I was able to do on benzos -- both quality and quantity. 6 hours feels like 1 (duh), making everything feel less tedious and more exploratory. It's not just about the execution either, im more emotionally open and I've found they let me explore new themes, letting my mind float around instead of being in its usual rigid state.
Pretty sure this isn't rare either, I've seen some posts talking about benzo-induced motivation but I just wanted to share my perspective on how they enhance creativity too. Unfortunately though, we all know benzo dependency sucks ass, so I don't want to end up that way. I'm pretty sure this is a futile question, but is there any alternative that might work? I tried kratom, and while it feels nice, it definitely does not help creativity like benzos do, sorta numbing all feelings rather than just negative ones.
