I am 27F, 223lbs, 5’4 Prescribed meds: Fetzima, Buspirone, Adderall, and Xanax. My Xanax script is for 1mg taken up to 3x a day. Well my psychiatrist called out sick on the day of my appt, which was last Monday. And they can’t get me in with him until the end of October. I have been messaging him frequently about having panic attacks almost every day and he kept saying we’d talk at my appt. Well I have been taking more Xanax than is prescribed because of these panic attacks (around 5mg a day) and I just took the last of what I had and he sent a refill in to the pharmacy but they won’t fill it until the 7th. I have been taking 5mg almost every day for two weeks, and before that taking 3mg everyday for over a year. Am I going to go through withdrawal? And if I am, what should I expect? I’m terrified. I’m trying not to panic. But I’m so scared.

My doctor did suggest I try getting in with the other psychiatrist in his building but he is also booked through the end of this month. There are no more psychiatrists in my town, I live on a small island.
