Okay so you’re tapering or you’re just prescribed let’s say we all know driving drunk or barred out is very stupid. Is it in fact true that even if you’re following your doctors orders you can get in trouble for taking the medication ? I’ve heard several people talk about this and I was curious so I read the papers it comes with. It says basically do not drive or use heavy machinery until you know how this medication effects you, so I was like ok that seems logical then I look at the zo loft paper and it says the exact same thing so is any prescription drug make you unable to drive ? It’s just a bit confusing, if I don’t take my prescribed medication I’m panicky anxious I drive way worse I don’t think I’d even really be up for driving as a big panic attack would just set in especially if I had to drive on a highway. So I take the 2mg Ativan before I drive to work usually so I’ve been illegally driving this whole time ? I don’t even feel high I just feel normal. Am I supposed to struggle to get to work then take the medication. And I’m not even talking about just Ativan it says the same on a ton of meds gabapentin clonidine beta blockers SSRIS I did research this. So it’s like very confusing and I’m just curious if anyone has any insight into this. I’ve never felt tired at the wheel or swerved I just feel normal not even tired. Not to justify it if it is wrong but once I take my medication I become more alert. If you’re someone who knows real panic attacks you know if one hits you on the highway it’s cruel it happened to me once in the middle lane mind you I literally put my blinkers on slowed way down and signaled to the nearest exit immediately then got out of the car and eventually calmed down like if I just kept driving I would have gotten tunnel vision and probably just lost control, so it would be my fault for not following the doctors orders ? So if this is indeed all true you just can’t drive if you have anxiety or panic attacks. I don’t get it someone explain it to me. Because my therapist is on a SSRI she told me and it says the same thing on that label mind you this is New York idk about other states really. So she too is driving illegally every day. And then what if you are taking your meds and someone hits you it’s auto your fault you get fucked ? Someone shed some light on this
