I've been taking it for years, but only as needed.

Lately I've been taking it for a few weeks in a row when I have visitors over, or I'm on trips and want to be able to do things. I've noticed that now when I take it, which I never had before, I get a really upset stomach. It feels like an insatiable hunger but it's different from the munchies, it also gives me a headache with it and it almost feels like a blood sugar thing.

Is it possible that it's just because I cut my 0.5mg tablets in half? I've read before that cutting some medications in half, the powdery substance can give you major acid reflux which would cause an upset stomach. It's just if I take a full 0.5mg in one go, I can't go out and do anything because it makes me really sleepy.

And I've taken them both on an empty stomach, and after food, so that doesn't seem to be the problem either.
