Why is my doctor like this?

Post Body

I genuinely needed my alprazolam. I’m having panic attacks regularly, having nocturnal panic attacks.

I’ve had to stop taking my vyvanse that I’ve been taking for three years which as you may be able to guess can be detrimental to my productivity and life.

I got prescribed Xanax a while ago and my doctor only let me refill it a couple times which is fine cause I got a lot better for a while. But some extremely stressful events have occurred in my life recently. I’ve been growing grey hairs from stress and I’m fucking 19.

Xanax fucking helped me. But no, I have to try antidepressants despite having bad reactions to two different SSRIs several times. I got a prescription for Effexor. After doing more research, no way am I taking Effexor. So now fucking what?

I’m not even asking to be put on long term or anything. I just need a little help to start working through this because the way I am now is no way to live but I can’t do anything about it due to the amount of anxiety and panic I have.

I’m sorry but is this not the EXACT conditions that they prescribe benzodiazepines under? An urgent situation like this? I do not have time to adjust to a fucking antidepressant.

There’s something that I know can help me and has helped me in the past, yet for some reason I can’t have it.

ETA: I’ve quite literally had 7.5mg of Xanax in the past year and my entire lifetime. No I am not an addict
