I am a lifelong, devoted Bengals fan. I’m in my 40s and my first football memory was Stanford Jennings’s 2nd half kickoff return in Super Bowl XXIII. I open this sub every day and it seems to me that most of the posts are complaining about ownership. And I totally get it…we could do things so much better than the way they are done! But we as a fan base seem to forget that since 2010 we’ve been one of the more successful NFL franchises. Now, I’ll admit that I include success as being in the thick of the Playoff race, and then making the Playoffs and so forth. We all know that we haven’t been able to win a championship…and that hurts. My question to you is, What fan bases do you think are happy with their ownership? The Ravens, Chiefs, Bills, Steelers, 49ers and Patriots are the only teams I can think of where they’ve had our kind of success over that time period (and at least 2 of those teams have been flat out way more successful than us). But the Bears, Cowboys, Jets, Browns, Giants, Raiders, Cardinals, Colts, and most of the rest of the NFL can’t be happy with their ownership and front office. Not defending or trying to start a fight, but I was just wondering if you guys thought most teams disliked ownership and front office as much as Bengals fans?
Most honestly.
Nobody questions most teams actively WANT to win. It's really hard to win consistently but most GMs and ownership groups desire to win and push to do so.
The poverty franchises are the Bengals, Cardinals, Bears, Panthers, Raiders and I'd say the Cowboys too only cause Jurrah can't stop getting in the way always and fields disastrous teams. I exempt the Browns cause they try hard as fuck they're just horrible decision makers. That defense is a powerhouse through FA and they are willing to try. When was the last time Cincinnati went out and fucking tried? Same with the Cards and Raiders. The Bears fleeced the Panthers but honestly I bet Cincinnati ownership would have refused that trade sticking with Fields.

I don't think Browns fans like any ownership since they were brought back. The Browns have actively made moves to plug holes and fix things. Watson was an obvious failure to anyone outside Haslem but they've never done great on QBs. Mayfield was their best option and they ran him out stupidly. Even so, the Browns are a team run by a GM that hasn't been given a free pass for 20 years cause ownership refuses to make any changes and refuses to pay their star receiver.
