here we have topaz, she's 13 months old and APb/APb and more of an ALC throwback in build, which is making finding a new eventually FINAL(i hope) adult harness for her a pain... it doesn't help, that unlike her half sisters(same dad, different mom, 14months), she seems now where near reaching adult growth and is still the long lanky kitten. all 3 of them are currently reaching the limits of the locally available cheaper harnesses that i have been using for their training and our rural area walks.
what am i looking for in a harness:
- nothing that attaches around the neck, all 3 girls like to run and come to a sudden stop, or pull when they see you know things... snakes, various rodents, frogs... that random bug etc!
- i prefer using something that goes around the chest and puts pressure more evenly, they love to climb, run, and explore.
- her sisters, lunatic and opal, are more balanced toward domestic, but ideally something i can buy 3 of in different colours. it's just easier to say.. oh yeah the pink is luna's, the purple is opal's etc and they're adjusted for fit.
- something that's adjustable, because at their ages i know they're not fully grown and of course will need adjusting for up to a year or more.
here's the problem:
lunatic and opal are roughly 12lbs(yes we have big girls!)
neck 9" chest 13"
topaz the mutant who's nearer to 13 lbs and you can see from the pic i took today she's not fat(we adore her!)
neck 6" chest 14"
i've looked at amazon etc and a LOT just don't seem to account for a very small neck and large chest... anyone found anything?
