I am seeking some advice. We have a very lovely female bengal cat that we’ve had since a kitten. Despite being litter trained from a young age, she has always had little accidents peeing round our apartments and houses over the past 9 years. This has always been alongside using her litter and mostly when we’d leave her for extended periods of time, as a sort of rebellious act I think.
She’s quite a particular girl. Doesn’t like other people around but LOVES our company. Hates being held but will always be close by. Full of character and been a huge part of our lives.
Recently, the accidents have really ramped up. To the point where she’s now peeing outside her litter weekly. On our couches, on our bed (!!!!), in the hall. It’s driving us crazy. We have multiple litters around the house. She has access to outside and has a wonderful time out there exploring. We are quite attentive to her needs and personality so we’re not quite sure what to do. We even pick her up each morning and put her in her litter, where she proceeds to pee.
Any advice? It’s getting to a point where we can’t continue like this as it smells so bad everywhere, not to mention the stress and frustration it’s causing us. We’re at our wits end!
Thank you.
EDIT: Sorry I should have mentioned - we have been to the vet multiple times for urine tests and blood samples. Currently she is fine with no medical issues, so we can assume it is behaviour related.
