Fifi had her annual vaccines (Nobivac) on Tuesday and on Wednesday seemed very ill. She wouldn’t let anyone touch her (very out of character, you can usually do anything to her and she’s a love bug!) and was hiding in the corner of the wardrobe crying and scrunched up. She also wouldn’t eat which has never happened before, she’s a glutton! We took her to the vet and they told us she had a reaction to the vaccine and it’s probs bc she’s a bengal and they’re sensitive. They gave us an anti inflammatory and also gave her an injection there for the swelling. It’s now Saturday and the injection site has a swelling abt golf ball size and she cries if you even slightly touch it. Her behaviour is more normal than Wednesday tho!
Has this happened to anyone before and did you take them back a second time for treatment? She needs the second part of the vaccine in 3 weeks and idk whether it’s a good idea to give it to her. Her breeder uses a different vet and she was fully vaccinated with feligen when I got her and had no reaction. I’ve attached a pic of her injection history.
