This hearing pad has a very low warm setting and a 24 hour option so it doesn’t shut off in the middle of the night. It’s on the human bed.
I don’t normally have photos of my cat on it because it’s dark but I’m sick today so here we are.
So many posts about Bengal cats trying to get through their wild nights, crying, being needy, and also nighttime aggression: we deal with all that but this heating pad makes it so much more manageable. Your cat needs ways to self-stimulate (toys, catio, walks) and self-calm (super cozy places that are not lonely because cats are social beings). She gets so excited about going to bed she attacks the blankets and takes a few minutes to calm down … then she gets to her heating pad and she’s out. When people get up for the bathroom she has a hard time going back to sleep and might roam and play for a few minutes, but she’ll remember her warm cuddle spot is waiting and rejoin us.
The hardest part of training has been to help this derpy doo understand that her aggression-affection (play bites and such) isn’t appreciated. I completely understand that sleeping beside some bengals is a wee bit terrifying, but our must successful training has occurred right here on the heating pad with very clear “NO” (gentle palm in the face) and we no longer receive surprise love-bites.
