Bengals: an ethical debate

Post Body

Bengal cats are beautiful. But I don’t really like animal breeding and it doesn’t really sit right with me ethically. Yet, I’m pretty sure, that to keep bengals alive and existing, humans must continue to breed them with each other ?

I also feel uncomfortable when seeing the majorly high prices bengals and other bred cats are being sold at clearly for profit. I don’t like that people place a higher monetary value on some cats compared to others, and I am not sure how I feel about people deliberately making sure a cat gets pregnant (by another particular cat of their choice) in order to then sell the babies for their own profit.

Side note: This post wasn’t made to judge, only to express my thoughts and opinions and ask for other advice too.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject and how do you approach ethics when it comes to bengal cats?

Edit: in the comments section please remain respectful and polite to each other. Rather than passionately downvoting because you disagree, let’s have a constructive conversation about why you might think differently. I made this post because I wanted to discuss and hear different opinions, not because I think I have all the answers (I don’t!)
