I got a playmate for Dorian!
So I now have 2 males, two weeks apart in age. Separate litters.
The new guy is a little skittish of humans for some reason, but he’s warming up.
What’s interesting to me is how adjusted Dorian is who we got at 8 weeks but this other breeder doesn’t release kittens until they are at nearly 4 months.
I can’t say which is supposed to be better for the kitten’s demeanor but the kitten who was kept longer is socially.. weird.
He was much quicker at warming up to Dorian, who was quite vocal about not liking this outsider. Whereas he sort of flinches from humans reaching out to pet him and avoids us unless we have a toy. He also digs in the litterbox as if he’s trying to get all the litter everywhere else but the box 😅
At least him and Dorian are pals. I’m sure Dorian can teach him a thing or two about properly grooming himself (his fur is a lot more coarse unless he was bathed) and how to trust.
