Hello!
I have been fond of both cats and dogs ever since I was younger, and have always wanted to have a pet of my own.
Now that I am older, living alone, and also have sufficient funds, I would like to get myself a bengal cat (I love all of the wild-looking animals and I fell in love with the coat and a seemingly playful personality of the breed). I realized that me just really wishing to have an animal won't do much when It comes to learning about all the responsibilities, so I thought about doing my due diligence and getting informed about as much as I can.
Now, I have just one major concern, which is - I live alone and am out of the house for about 9 hours per day. Work and commute included. Is that a red flag for having pets? I don't want the cat to get depressed over spending so much time alone.
Other than that, I am usually a home person, meaning that all my hobbies and interests typically include me being at home, so I would be able to spend the rest of the time playing with the cat. And I might also be able to have a neighbor check in on them while I am away If anything else is needed.
Thank you in advance for the advice! ⭐️
