Introducing cats together
Post Body

In light of Romeo being diagnosed with cancer, the breeder gave us another cat (Casper) as I purchased Romeo not even a month and a half ago. Ive had Casper for about 4 days now and both cats were separated the whole time. They have smelled each other behind the door and eaten. Both cats grew increasingly irritant with not having access to other parts of the house, and I thought maybe they were ready to meet each other. This didn’t go over so well as Casper was just chasing Romeo around the house and once they started hissing and trying to claw at each other, I once again separated them. Both males are not neutered however Casper is scheduled to be fixed in 3 days. Romeo is unable to be neutered as he is too weak and most likely will not wake up from the anesthesia. Any advice on how I can go about a smoother introduction?
