Hi All,
I’d like to take on the project of replacing the scales on my Bailout. I have never replaced scales on a knife before and am currently watching some tutorial videos on disassembling and assembling this model.
There do not seem to be many options on the market for replacement Bailout scales. I’m looking at AWT, Rockscale and also saw a couple on Etsy. Are there any other companies out there that I should check out?
I’ve also seen a ton of screw replacement kits. Is it suggested to upgrade to titanium screws when switching scales or can I keep the OEM screws?
I see some folks apply loctite to the hardware when reassembling their knives. Is this a mandatory step?
Please let me know if there are any other tips/tricks/suggestions that you guys have! Thank you!!!
